1:45 PM–3:00 PM Thursday, Jan 3, 2019

Hyatt Regency - San Francisco

Session Information

Description: Throughout history, people who owned property have generally had access to literacy, while those who work the land have not or have had contingent or alternative literacies. How do labor, land, and literacy interact throughout history, especially as systems of racial or environmental oppression? Panelists put eight hundred years of literary history in conversation to better understand these deep structures of domination and resistance.
