Description: This session features faculty members participating in a grant sponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities to implement high-impact practices in the first year of college. Speakers draw on their use of service-learning and community-engagement pedagogy in first-year writing to reflect on its potential uses for a diverse audience of teachers in a variety of classes across the field of English studies.
